Upstream Health Named a Supplier For Spark Dynamic Purchasing System Framework.

Upstream Health has been named as a supplier on the Crown Commercial Service’s Spark Dynamic Purchasing System framework.

Spark: the Technology Innovation Marketplace can help government and public sector to access new and emerging technology products.

This Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) uses a filter system that helps customers find relevant suppliers. The filter system includes defined technology areas, developed with customer input, and focuses on emerging technologies predicted to have the largest impact over the next two to five years.

To become a supplier, Upstream had to demonstrate its ability to offer products that offer radical or disruptive innovation. Our new Bridgit solution was successful in meeting these criteria.

Bridgit is designed to empower family carers to deliver preventative care to their loved ones and, in doing so, reduce the demand on stretched services.

The solution includes inexpensive products in the form of a home hub, watch and supportive devices, which can easily be provided to elderly clients with minimum installation and no need for an internet connection or a mobile phone.

She works by collecting 40 different data points from the elderly user and their home and her accessible interface sends and receives simple messages and health assessments. Bridgit connects to our AI and, via a mobile app, direct family members on preventative care actions.

“Being named as a supplier on the Spark Dynamic Purchasing System framework is a huge step forward for Upstream,” says Darren Crombie, CEO of Upstream Health.

“It means we can help more elderly people stay well in their homes for longer and support those carers and family members to make the right decisions for their loved ones.”

Crown Commerical Service (CCS) supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when protruding common goods and services. In 2018/19, CCS helped the public sector achieve commercial benefits worth £945m - supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
